For my dad

Ce blog est exceptionnellement en anglais * parce que c’est dans cette langue que mon père comprend le mieux, et que les mots que j’avais pour lui venaient naturellement comme ça. Un hommage pour la fête des Pères, avec tout mon cœur. 💙
His name’s Gaston.
But to me, he’s just my dad.
He doesn’t wait around. He moves. Fast. With purpose.
He’s got a strong head, a strong voice, and even stronger opinions.
And yes — he always thinks he’s right.
(And let’s be honest… most of the time, he kinda is.)
The man doesn’t sit still
My dad is never just doing nothing.
Even on his “day off,” he’s fixing something, planning something, or running around like he’s got
somewhere to be.
He’s not the type to let life happen to him.
He goes out and builds it.
That drive? That fire? I got it from him.
Big presence. Bigger heart.
My dad can debate you under the table, no problem.
But under all that stubborn is someone who would move mountains for his people.
No drama, no big speech — just quiet loyalty and a rock-solid way of showing up.
He’s the reason I stand tall when things get hard.
The reason I don’t back down.
When he believes in something, it gets done.
There’s no “maybe later” with him.
It’s more like: Okay. What do we need? When do we start?
And that mindset — that go-getter energy —it shows up in everything I do: in how I run my business, how I chase my goals, how I trust myself.
❤️ What he gave me (without even trying)
My dad passed down a lot.
The drive. The discipline. The “hard head when it counts” attitude.
But also the reminder that believing in yourself isn’t being arrogant —
it’s knowing your worth and moving like you mean it.
So for Father’s Day…
I’m not just saying thanks for all the things he did.
I’m saying thanks for who he is.
For the way he shows up, every time. For the part of me that looks at a challenge and says, Yeah, I got this.
Happy Father’s Day, Dad.
You never slow down — and now I know how to keep up.
